For this New Year’s Eve the sky is literally the limit, as we gather to ring in 2025 at Pioneer Courthouse Square. With live drone shows and a large-scale dance party, The Square will be THE spot to ring in the New Year. In partnership with the City of Portland, Prosper Portland’s Office of Events & Film, and True West Presents, The Square is proud to once again host a FREE community New Year’s Eve celebration in the heart of Downtown.
“It’s wonderful to see our city come together for this New Year’s Eve celebration at Pioneer Courthouse Square,” said Mayor Ted Wheeler. “This event showcases Portland’s creativity and community spirit as we welcome 2025 with hope and optimism.”
There will be two drone displays at The Square: a family-friendly drone show at 9:00pm with a final countdown drone show to usher in the New Year at Midnight. This year’s drone shows will be produced by Open Sky; a world-renowned drone light show company that will bring the art of customized aerial performance with more than 200 drones to the heart of downtown.
Portland’s own Video Dance Attack will provide a video-based dance night featuring the hottest music and videos from the 80’s and beyond. Music videos are projected onto multiple large screens to provide a quality sound and light show in our City’s Living Room. This event is FREE to the public with food and beverage (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available for purchase throughout the event.
