The Independent Monitor of the City’s Settlement Agreement with the Department of Justice on policing in Portland has posted its DRAFT Monitoring and Methodological Plans for the public's consideration and comment prior to the finalization of those plans.
The period for public comment is coming to a close on December 8, and the Monitor is making this final effort at outreach in hopes of ensuring that any interested stakeholders who have not yet provided their feedback have the opportunity to do so.
DRAFT Monitoring and Methodological Plans
We welcome input from all Portland community stakeholders on these documents, as we believe that a successful Monitorship is one that is informed by diverse voices throughout the community. Every comment we receive will be given thoughtful consideration, alongside input from the Parties to the Agreement, as all such feedback is essential for refining our approach to the Monitorship. Your input will help us ensure that our assessments appropriately reflect the needs and expectations of those affected by the Agreement's reforms. We look forward to hearing from you, and we sincerely appreciate your contributions toward shaping this process!
