Mayor Ted Wheeler delivered his final State of the City address on October 24, 2024. Durings his remarks, Mayor Wheeler reflected on his two terms in office, his many accomplishments and his hopes for the future of Portland.
"We've created new programs and initiatives, we've funded those programs and initiatives, we've brought in incredible leaders to bring results. But maybe most important of all - we have shifted our culture," Mayor Wheeler said.
"My life will always be connected to Portland's future. I will remain deeply invested in its success. Let us move forward with hope, determination and a shared vision for a prosperous Portland," Mayor Wheeler said.
