On Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, Portland City Council issued a statement to those planning a demonstration on Saturday, Sept 26.
Portland City Council members presented their statements prior to the AM City Council session. They called on any non-peaceful demonstrators or anybody planning to travel to Portland to spread hate, fear, or intimidation to stay home.
Council members also called on Portland residents to not engage with any non-peaceful demonstrators.
