State of Emergency remains in effect until Thursday, Sept. 24 at noon

Today, Thursday Sept. 10, 2020, Mayor Wheeler issued a City of Portland Emergency Order due to the extreme wildfire conditions threatening lives and property, including wildfire threats to the City of Portland and the greater Portland Metropolitan area. Actions being taken under the State of Emergency include:
- Closure of City-owned outdoor properties
- Protecting the City’s houseless population
- Activating evacuation sites for fire victims
- Identifying financial resources to be used to protect public health, safety and welfare
