Portland City Council Hosting Presentation on National Best Practices for Policing
As part of the city’s preparations for upcoming bargaining negotiations with the Portland Police Association, Portland City Council will listen to a presentation by two principals of Campaign Zero on national best practices in police union contracts.
It’s the city’s goal to draw on national best practices in contemporary policing as a guideline for realizing Chief Danielle Outlaw’s vision. This will help ensure a meaningful negotiation process that results in a contract that serves the interest and welfare of the public and supports our officers.
The presentation will be at a City Council work session that will take place Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
