Mayor Wheeler to Speak at International Mass Timber Conference

WHAT: Mayor Ted Wheeler will be giving the keynote speech at the Mass Timber Conference.

The 2019 International Mass Timber Conference brings together timber experts from around the world for three days of tours, exhibits and presentations with industry leaders across the spectrum of mass timber.

In his opening remarks, Mayor Wheeler will discuss:

  • Portland’s history of both massive timber use and robust climate action
  • Opportunities for future sustainable growth
  • The use of cross-laminated timber (CLT) in Oregon and around the world
