Mayor Ted Wheeler Announces Kristin Dennis as New Chief of Staff
Mayor Ted Wheeler has selected Kristin Dennis as his new Chief of Staff. Dennis took over as Interim Chief of Staff in early January from her role as Operations Director and Deputy Chief of Staff.
“Kristin is a trusted advisor. She brings leadership, integrity, and sharp political acumen to the job. I am thrilled to have her as my Chief of Staff,” says Mayor Wheeler. “It’s a challenging job, and she has already stepped up. I look forward to her continued leadership.”
Dennis was Policy Director and Chief of Staff when Mayor Wheeler was Oregon State Treasurer. Prior to that, Dennis worked for State Senator Richard Devlin, and in the legal field. At age 22, she was the youngest person ever elected to the Lake Oswego City Council, where she served from 2007-2010. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar and is also a wife and mother.
“I am proud to work alongside a team that leads from conviction, values, and integrity. We have so much to be proud of. We also have a lot of work ahead of us. It will be an honor to serve the city as the Mayor’s Chief of Staff.” -Kristin Dennis
Dennis takes over as Chief of Staff beginning today.
