Mayor Wheeler will proclaim November 25 as International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. To increase awareness for the day, the Morrison Bridge will be lit orange at dusk. The bridge lighting is in solidarity with worldwide lighting of public landmarks including Niagara Falls, the Eiffel Tower and the Sydney Opera House.

Item 1195: Lawsuit Against Federal Government

This item authorizes our city attorneys to join as a party in litigation challenging the federal government, which is attempting to force Oregon to cooperate with federal immigration policies, using the threat of withholding federal law enforcement grants.
