Statement from Mayor Ted Wheeler on Relocation Ordinance Judgement
PORTLAND, OR – Mayor Ted Wheeler issued the following statement on the recent judgement from the Multnomah County Circuit Court on the City’s Relocation Ordinance:
“I am pleased that the Multnomah County Circuit Court reaffirmed relocation-assistance as a constitutionally available tool to address Portland’s housing affordability crisis. The City is committed to ensuring residents have a safe, affordable place to live. We are exploring further protections at the city level given legislative inaction and engaging a diverse group of stakeholders.”
