What Works Portland
Portland joined the What Works Cities (WWC) initiative in 2016, joining cities across the country to strengthen the use of data and evidence to improve results for the communities we serve. A cross-bureau project team is coordinating the City of Portland's participation in the initiative.
Portland has been awarded silver level certification from What Works Cities, a national recognition program for excellence in data-driver local governance.
We asked Christine Kendrick, Denise López and Elisabeth Perez to talk about their work addressing the digital divide during the COVID pandemic, using a $5 million CARES Act grant to provide internet access, devices, and digital literacy skills to the community.
