Portland-area residents

We offer free lead-in-water testing to Portland residents and residents in the service area of some surrounding water providers. Order a free test kit from the LeadLine or call 503-988-4000. The test kit includes instructions, sample bottles, a postage-paid return envelope, and an information card for you to fill out and return with the water sample. The LeadLine has an instructional video showing how to collect a water sample using your test kit.

Childcare facilities in Portland

We provide free lead testing for licensed in-home and center-based childcare providers in the Portland Water Bureau service area. Childcare providers can order free lead-in-water testing online or by calling 503-823-7525. Our lead testing program meets the requirements for state-mandated testing.
