Water main replacement on Southwest Troy Street

Project overview

The Portland Water Bureau has replaced 931 feet of water main (pipe) on Southwest Troy Street from Southwest 25th Avenue to Southwest 28th Avenue.

Why

The previous water main was installed in 1913 and had four recorded breaks. The new pipe will reduce breaks and leaks, and will be more resistant to earthquakes. If you live in the area, this new pipe makes your water service more reliable.

What's happening now

This project is complete.
