The Water Bureau repaired a water main (pipe) on Southeast Holgate Boulevard where it crosses the Interstate 205 freeway. To access the water pipe, crews narrowed the eastbound traffic lane on Holgate.

Project Overview
The Water Bureau repaired a water main (pipe) on Southeast Holgate Boulevard where it crosses the Interstate 205 freeway. To access the water pipe, crews narrowed the eastbound traffic lane on Holgate.
Why
The structures that held the old pipe in place were aging and had a high risk of failure. We shut off the water along this section of pipe to prevent a leak. Now we have completed this work and will be able to use the pipe again.
Where
Southeast Holgate Boulevard from Southeast 92nd Avenue to Southeast 97th Avenue
When
Construction began in January 2020 and ended in summer 2020.
Work hours: Monday-Saturday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
