This project is funded by the Metro Regional Parks & Nature Bond Local Share approved by voters in 2019. The Bristlecone Pine Trail Accessibility Improvements Project will renovate the existing 1-mile out and back trail and the parking lot that serves as a trailhead.

Construction crews will build sidewalk and new ADA curb ramps on the south side of NE Shaver Street to connect this key school route for Parkrose Middle and High School students.

Environmental Services is continuing to design a project to repair 1,157 feet of public sewer pipe that is in poor condition. These repairs will protect public health by reducing the risk of basement flooding and sewage releases to homes and streets.

The Water Bureau will upgrade the Hypochlorite Building at Washington Park Reservoir. Aside from exterior doors, upgrades will happen inside the building. Built in 1981, this simple structure fulfills another critical role: allowing us to serve clean and safe water to the west side of Portland.

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will reconfigure this roadway as a protected bike lane. The project limits are along S Bertha Blvd. from SW Vermont St. to SW Barbur Blvd. The intent is to reorganize the roadway to provide protected bike lanes.
North Jantzen Avenue water main construction

We will replace approximately 2,200 feet of water main (pipe) with earthquake-resilient pipe. We will also replace five existing fire hydrants and install one new fire hydrant. This project will bring existing water services and backflow devices at several properties up to current City code.

As part of this project, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will make urgent safety and maintenance improvements to 2.5 miles of NE 82nd Avenue from Fremont Street to Schuyler Street and SE 82nd Avenue from Mill Street to Foster Road.
