The project is currently in the design phase. Construction is expected to begin in summer or fall 2026 and should take about a year to complete.
The Lair Hill Sewer Project will replace or repair aging sewer pipes and extend the public sewer system in the Lair Hill Neighborhood. This project will protect public health and the environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses, and streets.

The Bureau of Environmental Services is investigating conditions of the stormwater system in Marquam Park & Council Crest and exploring options for improvement and rehabilitation. This project will help ensure that stormwater and sewer systems in the area have adequate capacity in major storms.
