  • Tree grows in an upright pyramidal shape; creating a large shade tree.
  • Nuts grow in clusters and covered with a husk and mature in in early Fall.
  • Popular wildlife food source for squirrels and edible for people, too!
  • Only 6 mature trees found in Portland Parks.
