  • Responses to emails sent to trees@portlandoregon.gov and voicemail inquiries to 823-TREE(8733) are within two business days.
  • Urban Forestry response times are estimated as follows:

                 Two weeks for a tree permit decision for applications requiring an inspection

If you would like to check the status of your permit application please follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Portland Maps Permit/Case Search website
  2. Type in the address and hit "Submit"
  3. Click on the applicable permit/case number
  4. The permit status is listed under "Status"

A "status" that indicates "Application" means that the permit is still in the queue to be inspected.
