Limited In-Person Services Offered Starting July 19 in the Development Services Center

Portland's Citywide Tree Hotline 503-823-TREE(8733) and trees@portlandoregon.gov are the way to route all tree related inquiries to the Trees Single Point of Contact.

Beginning Tuesday July 19, 2022 customers will have an additional way to have questions answered by Urban Forestry staff.  An online appointment scheduling system is open for a limited number of  15-minute in-person appointments two days a week in the Development Services Center. Walk-in or same day appointments are not available.  The schedule is open as of July 5 to reserve time on or after July 19. The slots will be offered within the following days and time periods:

  • Tuesdays - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Thursdays - 8:00 am to 12:00 noon

The Development Services Center is located on the first floor of 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Portland 97209

How to submit a Tree Permit Application

Please refer to our information here. The best way to submit permit applications for tree removal and replanting, street tree pruning, street tree root pruning, and others, is 24 hours a day online through DevHub, or by printing and mailing an application form with the filing fee to:
