City of Portland Approved Street Tree Planting Lists - these lists provide tree planting options for different street tree site conditions.
Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) Urban Forestry staff are available to answer tree questions, provide permit applications, and issue some tree permits during posted hours.

This interest form is for tree planting at a Portland Park or other publicly owned property. We will review all projects and do our best to accommodate your request.
Up to 700 free street trees will be planted by PP&R Urban Forestry in the Lents, Argay, Parkrose and Parkose Heights neighborhoods this coming winter. These trees are funded by Portland’s Tree Planting and Preservation Fund and will be watered, weeded, and cared for through 2024.

Nuisance Tree List

The plants identified on the Nuisance Plants List are prohibited from being planted within the Environmental Overlay Zone, Greenway Overlay Zone, and the Pleasant Valley Natural Resources Overlay Zone.
