- Native to Southeastern United States
- Grows to heights of 50-70‘
- Needle-like leaves with alternate branching
- Cones are round and approximately 1” in diameter
- A deciduous conifer with fall color that progresses from yellow to coppery orange
- Relatively rare in Portland
