Native to western China.
Height can exceed 100’.
Leaves are 2-6” long and finely toothed.
Weeping willows in Portland (and just about anywhere) may be hybrids from several species. Sorting it all out is very difficult, so S. babylonica remains as the species.
Fairly common in Portland.
