Salix babylonica -Weeping Willow
  • Native to western China.
  • Height can exceed 100’.
  • Leaves are 2-6” long and finely toothed.
  • Weeping willows in Portland (and just about anywhere) may be hybrids from several species. Sorting it all out is very difficult, so S. babylonica remains as the species.
  • Fairly common in Portland.
