About Lombardy poplar at OSU's Landscape Plants site.
- Said to have come from the Lombardy district in Italy in the 1600s.
- Fast growing to 70-90' tall, but often only 10-15' wide.
- All Lombardy poplars are male clones that do not produce fruit or seeds.
- Leaves are alternate, simple, and triangular.
