Urban Forestry is piloting a new Tree Care Assistance Program for qualified low-income property owners. This pilot is serving as the research and development phase as we work to build and refine this program, and we are looking for participants!
To qualify, you must:
- Live within the City of Portland
- Own and live in your home where the tree care is needed
- Be income-qualified and enrolled in the Water Bureau's Financial Assistance Program. If you have questions or need assistance applying, contact the Water Bureau team at PWBCustomerService@portlandoreg… or 503-823-7770.
This program offers tree care assistance for trees on private property, including:
- Health assessment
- Pruning for safety, structure, and clearance
- Dead or dying tree removal
- Elm tree removal for elm trees infected with Dutch elm disease
- Ash tree removal, due to the threat of the emerald ash borer in Portland
- Stump and wood waste removal for trees removed
The Private Property Tree Care Assistance program is made possible by funding from the Portland Clean Energy Fund.
