CullyFest

Saturday, September 13, 2025

Join us to talk to community members about trees and promote our Yard Tree Giveaway program. Share your love of trees with folks that may be interested in getting up to 3 free trees! Celebrate the Cully neighborhood while helping Urban Forestry grow our city's canopy! We'll have games, candy, and merchandise you can use to get people excited about trees. You will receive a talking points checklist and a short introduction/training talk explaining the Yard Tree Giveaway program. And, of course, staff will always be there to help in any way!

Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry's mission is to manage and ensure Portland's urban forest infrastructure for current and future generations. Portland’s urban forest consists of 236,000 street trees, 1.2 million park trees, and innumerable private property trees.

Urban Forestry is involved in managing or regulating all of these trees to differing degrees. Urban Forestry staff issue permits for planting, pruning, and removal of all public and some private trees and are on call 24/7 to respond to tree emergencies.
