WHAT: Powell Ct Project

WHERE: Powell Ct. Median (Near 11563 SE Powell Ct.)

WHEN: Saturday, November 2nd and November 16th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.

This is a 2-day project is being organized by Green Lents and the neighbors of Powell Ct, in collaboration with the Portland Parks and Recreation Urban Forestry.

Day 1: Help Green Lents install a native garden in the median on Powell Ct. Work will include shoveling mulch, preparing the site, and planting native plants

Day 2: Learn techniques for planting trees including, root prep, planting depth, and overall tips for caring for trees.

Before attending any event: if you are not feeling well, have a temperature above 100.4ᵒ or receive a recommendation to self-isolate – please stay home.

For the comfort and safety of all volunteers, please leave all pets at home.

Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry's mission is to manage and ensure Portland's urban forest infrastructure for current and future generations. Portland’s urban forest consists of 220,000 street trees, 1.2 million park trees, and nearly 3 million private property trees.

Urban Forestry is involved in managing or regulating all of these trees to differing degrees. Urban Forestry staff issue permits for planting, pruning, and removal of all public and some private trees and are on call 24/7 to respond to tree emergencies.
