  • Height can reach over 100’.

  • Compound leaves usually with 7-9 leaflets that are pale beneath (another common name is White Ash).

  • Dioecious with flowers appearing before leaves.

  • Bark has diamond-shaped ridges.

  • Uncommon along Portland’s streets.
