Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) Urban Forestry's mission is to manage and ensure Portland's urban forest infrastructure for current and future generations. Our urban forest consists of 218,000 street trees, 1.2 million park trees, and 2.9 million private property trees.

Organization
Urban Forestry is part of the Portland Parks & Recreation. It has three main workgroups under the Portland City Forester, Jenn Cairo. They are:
- Tree Maintenance Operations (Paul Anderson, Manager)
- Permitting and Regulations (Casey Jogerst, Manager)
- Science, Outreach, and Planting (Angie DiSalvo, Manager)

Tree Emergencies
Call 503-823-TREE (8733) at any time to report tree Issues, like a downed tree or major limb, on City property and public streets. Urban Forestry crews work on the biggest impacts first, as well as mitigating safety issues, before clearing debris.
