Abies concolor - white fir
  • Native throught the West at higher elevations
  • Can reach more than 150' in height
  • Needles are 2-2.5" long, flat, in two rows, bluish-white
  • Cones are 3-5" long and olive brown in color
  • Bark is ashy gray, thick, with deeply cut fissures
  • Rare in Portland, especially large specimens
