About White Fir at OSU's Landscape Plants site
- Native throught the West at higher elevations
- Can reach more than 150' in height
- Needles are 2-2.5" long, flat, in two rows, bluish-white
- Cones are 3-5" long and olive brown in color
- Bark is ashy gray, thick, with deeply cut fissures
- Rare in Portland, especially large specimens
