Current permit holders in the Northwest (Zone M) and Central Eastside Parking Districts (Zones G and N) are eligible to trade in permit(s) for Transportation Wallet(s). Rules and restrictions apply.
The form will take 5-10 minutes to complete.
The Transportation Wallet (in parking districts) is a collection of passes and credits for use on transit, streetcar, bike-share and scooters. Current residential and business permit holders in the Northwest and Central Eastside Parking Districts can trade in unused permits in exchange for free Transportation Wallets. This is one of PBOT's strategies to effectively manage on-street parking demand by increasing parking supply.
The 2021 Transportation Wallet includes:
- TriMet Hop card: either $100 (Northwest) or $200 (Central Eastside)
- An annual Portland Streetcar Pass
- $99 Biketown credit
- $30 scooter credit
Residents can trade in a current Zone M, G, or N parking permit in exchange for a free Transportation Wallet.
Employers can trade in unused business permits for free Transportation Wallets. Each parking district has distinct rules. Apply at portland.gov/zoneparking and scroll midway down the page to search for "Business Employee Roster and Transportation Wallet Form" under your parking district zone.
