People who do not qualify for a Transportation Wallet through PBOT are encouraged to see if they qualify for transportation resources offered by other Portland-based organizations. Below are several to consider.
Programs for people living on a low-income:
- TriMet's reduced (Honored Citizen) fare based on income - Receive half off of transit fare
- BIKETOWN for All - Ride BIKETOWN e-bikes at a discounted rate
- Lime Access - Ride Lime e-scooters at a discounted rate
- Lyft Community Pass (scroll to the bottom) - Access BIKETOWN e-scooters at a discounted rate
- Ride to Care - A free service that provides transportation (or reimbursement for transportation) to people covered by Oregon Health Plan (OHP) medical insurance.
Programs for people living with a disability:
- TriMet LIFT Paratransit - Shared-ride service for people who are unable to use regular buses and trains due to a disability or disabling health condition
- TriMet's reduced (Honored Citizen) fare based on disability - Receive half off of transit fare
- Adaptive BIKETOWN - Portland's adaptive cycling resource for people living with a disability or who are unable to ride a traditional two-wheeled bike
Additional programs:
- Ride Connection - Free transportation services (prioritizing older adults and people with disabilities) that enables people to access services and goods.
- TriMet's reduced (Honored Citizen) fare based on military or veteran status - Receive half off of transit fare
- TriMet's reduced (Honored Citizen) fare based on age (65+) or Medicare status - Receive half off of transit fare
- Multnomah County's ACCESS Shuttle – A free shuttle service that provides connection to the area south of PDX airport. The shuttle runs weekdays in the early morning and afternoon peaks between the Cully neighborhood and Parkrose/Sumner Transit Center, with multiple stops in between.
