Getting on the bus

• When waiting for the bus, stay back from the street until the bus arrives and the driver opens the door
• Be respectful of yards and private property near your bus stop
• Use the handrail when boarding

Riding the bus

• Keep hands and feet to yourself
• Be respectful to other riders
• Keep aisles clear of books and bags
• Keep hands, arms and head inside the bus
• Put trash in garbage cans

Getting off the bus

• Use the handrail when going down the stairs
• Take five big steps away from the bus when you exit
• If you have to cross in front of the bus, always be sure the driver can see you
• Listen to the bus driver in case they have special instructions
• Stay away from the rear wheels of the bus at all times
