About Dolores

Dolores Huerta is a truly powerful force for social justice. She co-founded the United Farm Workers with César Chávez, and together, they spearheaded a movement that dramatically improved the lives of farmworkers across the nation. They fought for fair wages, safe working conditions, and basic human dignity. But Dolores's impact extends far beyond the fields. She's a passionate advocate for women's rights, recognizing the interconnectedness of social justice issues. She's championed immigrant rights, understanding the struggles faced by those seeking a better life, and she's always emphasized the importance of education as a tool for empowerment. Her lifelong dedication makes her a vital and enduring figure in American history, and her work continues to inspire positive change. Read about her current work on the Dolores Huerta Foundation website.
