The Portland Bureau Of Transportation's (PBOT) Ride Through the Seasons campaign aims to encourage Portlanders to keep on riding their bike past summer and into fall. Join us for rides and events, with the chance to win prizes along the way. Riding in the rain is not only possible, it's fun too!

Bike Summer may be over, but our streets are open to bicycles year-round, 24/7. Our Ride Through the Seasons campaign is here to help you prepare to ride beyond summer and into fall.
The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is offering a series of free workshops and bike rides in October and November, in partnership with community-based organizations.
By participating in Ride Through the Seasons events, you'll also have the chance to win prizes and receive free accessories along the way!

2026 Calendar of Events
October:
Bike Shop Kick-off ride - Saturday, October 3, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. location TBD.
Take a spin through North and Northeast Portland to see the variety of bike shops to choose from - high end to DIY, off-road to commuter.
All Seasons Cycling Workshop - Tuesday, October 6, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Sellwood Library, 7860 SE 13th Ave.
Join us for an interactive session to learn tips and techniques for staying dry, comfortable and safe while biking all year round.
- Bike Bus to Arbor Day - Saturday, October 17, 9 - 10:30 a.m. start location TBD, ride will end at Urban Forestry's Arbor Day event at Harrison Park,1931 SE 84th Ave.
See and Be Seen Ride - Thursday, October 29, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. location TBD.
Dress in your most visible attire, light up your bike, and join us for a fun illuminated ride! Come early for some bright freebies.
November:
Rainy Rider Photo Contest - All month long.
Text a photo of yourself and your bicycle in the rain to 888-520-0526 for the chance to win a waterproof or high-visibility prize!
All-Season Cycling Workshop – Tuesday, November 3, 4 - 5 p.m. at Go Lloyd, 700 NE Multnomah St, 3rd floor.
Join us for an interactive session to learn tips and techniques for staying dry, comfortable and safe while biking all year round.
Waterways Real and Metaphoric Ride – Saturday, November 7, 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., meet at Delicious Donuts, 12 SE Grand Ave.
Keep riding through the seasons on this tour of public art and community spaces where rainfall and water play an important role in our City.
Biking Thru Winter in Portland zine
Discover local artist Shay Mirk's take on what it's like to bike through the seasons of Portland. Print, fold and take the zine with you or share with your friends, family, and coworkers!
