Are you new to town, or new to cycling in Portland? Join our New to Portland ride in North Portland! This ride is free and open to everyone. No bike? No problem! Ride free on a BIKETOWN e-assist bike.

New to Portland ride: North

Are you new to town, or new to cycling in Portland? Want to explore some of the best low-stress bike routes in NoPo? Then join our New to Portland ride on Thursday, July 9th! 

We'll see parks, current and future bikeways, and find other gems in the area. This is part of a series of New to Portland rides for 2026 exploring different areas and designed for folks who want to get to know their neighborhoods and neighbors.

Event details

Columbia Park Playground , North Winchell St and North Woolsey Ave

We will gather at 5:30 p.m. and the ride will start at 6:00 p.m. The ride will end in the same spot.

This is a moderate-pace (8-10 mph), no drop ride, and will be approximately 9 miles. This event is free and open to everyone.
