New to Portland ride: Southwest
Are you new to town, or new to cycling in Portland? Join our New to Portland ride on Thursday, September 25! We will explore ways to get around by bicycle in Southwest Portland and check out some new bike paths and low-traffic streets. There will be some hills, so come ready to pedal and make sure your gears are working properly!
This is a moderate-pace, no drop ride, and will be approximately 8 miles. Ride is a loop, and we will follow the rules of the road. This event is free and open to everyone.

When: Thursday, September 25
5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Gather, get some free bike swag and maps!
6:00 p.m. Ride starts promptly
Where: Ride starts and ends at Gabriel Park (east side), SW 37th Ave and SW Texas St

Need a bike?
Are you bike-curious or don't have a bike you can use? There are still options for you to participate in the ride:
- Consider riding with BIKETOWN—Portland's easy, affordable, and super-fun way to get around. Just hop on one of their e-bikes and be on your way. Check the BIKETOWN map for station locations around town.
- Consider renting a bike or purchasing a bike from one of Portland's bike shops.
