Classes and Activities
A guided ride exploring where to get the best rain gear in Portland, followed by hot chocolate.
10:30 am 1:00 pm

Event Details

Come out for a guided ride exploring where to get the best rain gear in Portland, practicing wet weather riding technique, followed by hot chocolate and info-sharing at Clever Cycles bike shop.  We'll let our smiles be our umbrellas (but bring rain gear if needed).

This ride is a loop (will return to start) and is about 8 miles long.  Perfect for folks new to Portland, new to the bike or just getting back on their wheels, we'll travel at an easy-pace (8-10 mph) and no one left behind - and we'll ride rain or shine.  Free and open to everyone!

Meet at Clever Cycles at 10:30, we'll roll out at 11:00.

Need a bike?

Are you bike-curious or don't have a bike you can use? There are still options for you to participate in the ride:

  • Consider renting a bike or purchasing a bike from one of Portland's bike shops.
  • Consider riding with BIKETOWN, Portland's easy, affordable, and super-fun way to get around. Just hop on one of their e-bikes and be on your way. Check the BIKETOWN map for station locations around town.

Free BIKETOWN codes!

We have some free BIKETOWN codes available specifically for this ride! To receive a BIKETOWN code, email Timo Forsberg: timo.forsberg@portlandoregon.gov.
