Event details

The days are getting shorter and the skies are getting cloudier - it's time to see and be seen! Dress up in your most visible attire, light up your bike, and join us for a fun evening ride (check out this page for some visibility tips). We’ll tour some streets and paths designed to make your bike trip comfortable and help you build confidence biking in the grey months.

We'll meet at Salmon Springs fountain at 5:30 p.m. to show off our bright styles, and hand out some bright reflective swag! We will also have a BIKETOWN staff member there to assist folks who would like to sign up for BIKETOWN for All. Then, we'll roll-out at 6:00 p.m. for a 7-8 mile ride through Portland's eastside. We'll end at Revolution Hall where folks can purchase food and socialize if so inclined. We ride at an easy pace (8-10 mph) and no one gets left behind. Beginners and families welcome.

The ride is free and open to everyone!

Need a bike?

Are you bike-curious or don't have a bike you can use? There are still options for you to participate in the ride:

  • Consider renting a bike or purchasing a bike from one of Portland's bike shops.
  • Consider riding with BIKETOWN, Portland's easy, affordable, and super-fun way to get around. Just hop on one of their e-bikes and be on your way. Check the BIKETOWN map for station locations around town.

Free BIKETOWN codes!

We have some free BIKETOWN codes available specifically for this ride! To receive a BIKETOWN code, email Rob Hemphill: robert.hemphill@portlandoregon.gov

We also have adaptive bikes available for people with disabilities. Email us to reserve one ahead of time!
