Take a bike tour with Portland By Cycle focusing on how Portland is adding green space and improving biking in the Central City.  This ride is based on the Sunday Parkways Green Loop route, which highlights the future Green Loop project in central Portland, a planned six-mile linear park that connects people through the heart of the city.

This ride will cover 7.4 miles as we travel through all 6 quadrants (and return where we started). This mellow-paced, no-drop ride is great for folks new to biking, new to Portland or just getting back on the bike.  Staff from the Bureau of Environmental Services will talk about the benefits and challenges of adding trees and plantings to an urban and industrial landscape.  Staff from the Bureau of Transportation will highlight recent and upcoming projects to make it easier to bike and walk in, to and through the Central City.

The ride meets at 4:00 and rolls out at 4:15. Helmets are required, bringing water is recommended and riders under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.  Due to the recent COVID surge, all participants will be asked to wear masks when the ride is stopped and/or people are gathered in close proximity.

Meet at Tilikum Plaza, SE Caruthers St and 2nd Place (just south of the OMSI/SE Water MAX station)
