For our Vision Zero team and Portland Bureau of Transportation colleagues, this Sunday is an important day to remember the people we have lost on our streets.
As a city, it is a reminder that how we design and manage our streets affects the lives of neighbors, friends, and family members, young and old, across Portland.
For all of us, it is a reminder that our decisions when we travel—especially our speeds—affect our own lives and those around us.
We are honoring World Day of Remembrance through message boards. Look for them on Portland-area streets this weekend.
Thank you for your support for safe streets in Portland and caring for others when traveling.
