Crews are continuing work on SE 136th Avenue and wrapping up project elements that were slightly delayed because of smoke and rain.

Today, September 30th, SE 136th Avenue will reopen in both directions between SE Holgate Boulevard and SE Raymond Street, now that the 17 inch base repair work has finished.

This week crews will continue installing traffic separators between SE Powell Boulevard and SE Division Street. This work is scheduled to wrap up by the middle of next week.

Work crews are also continuing the work of excavating and pouring concrete for curbs, driveways and sidewalks on the west side of SE 136th Avenue. The sidewalk work is scheduled to be completed between SE Steele and SE Harold streets by the end of next week. Meanwhile work between SE Harold Street and the Springwater Trail is getting underway and will continue for the next few weeks. The forecast calls for sunny weather for a little while, but construction schedules may change if this forecast changes. Work crews may also return to areas further north to complete sidewalk work where temporary construction easements are now in place and property owners have been compensated.
