  • First Thursdays on NW 13th Avenue: 5 – 9 PM. Portland’s classic arts walk featuring hundreds of local artists, craftspeople, and food vendors curated by the Urban Art Network.

  • The Arleta Triangle Arts and Crafts Kaleidoscope at Arleta Triangle Square: 11 AM - 5 PM. An arts and crafts event featuring makers from the Portland metro area in collaboration with Mt Scott Arleta Neighborhood Association.
  • Free Workout Session at Ankeny Rainbow Road: 11 AM - 12 PM. Come get your pump with Lone Fir Fitness and friends!

Sunday, July 6

  • The Arleta Triangle Arts and Crafts Kaleidoscope at Arleta Triangle Square: 11 AM - 5 PM. An arts and crafts event featuring makers from the Portland metro area in collaboration with Mt Scott Arleta Neighborhood Association.
  • Line Dancing for All at Concordia Commons: 4 - 6 PM. Led by Shelly Lawrence. Try your hand at line dancing with friends and neighbors in the commons. All levels welcome! Hosted by Friends of the Commons.

  • Bridgetown Morris Wednesday Night Dance Outs at Pride Plaza: 7:00 – 8:30 PM. Experience Bridgetown Morris—a lively local troupe preserving traditional English Morris dancing with bells, handkerchiefs, sticks, and folk songs in open-air performances.

Tuesday, July 15

  • Grand Opening Portland Dream Plaza: A new seasonal plaza pilot in Central Eastside featuring skate ramps, basketball hoops, and tons of upcoming summer events Details forthcoming. Check out Dream Big City's Instagram for updates.
  • Sent with Love at Concordia Commons: 5:30 – 7:30 PM. A cozy letter writing event in the plaza.

This neighborhood work party is a chance to meet others, pitch in on light cleanup and beautification, and show some love to this treasured public space. Tools and good vibes provided!

  • Urbanist Happy Hour at Ankeny Rainbow Road: 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Strong Towns PDX hosts a social for housing advocates, planners, cyclists, and public-space enthusiasts.

Saturday, August 2

  • The Arts and Crafts Kaleidoscope at Arleta Triangle Square: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The Arts and Crafts Kaleidoscope is a vibrant celebration of creativity. This family-friendly event brings together local artists, makers, and musicians for a market day filled with art, music, and delicious food.
  • Speak Out at NW 13th Avenue (between Everett & Flanders): 3:00 – 10:00 PM. Organized by survivors for survivors, #SpeakOut is a community event that amplifies the voices of survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and stalking. Together, we foster collective healing and spread awareness of how survivors want to be supported, in addition to connecting survivors to organizations to support them in rebuilding their lives.
  • Potluck and Games at Ankeny Rainbow Road: 12:00 – 6:00 PM. Bring a dish and enjoy the lawn games, music, and sunshine.

  • Bike Maintenance Education at Arleta Triangle Square: 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. PBOT is hosting a Bike Maintenance Education booth. No bike maintenance background necessary - we'll be here to answer all your questions about what that part on your bike is called, or where that creaky sound is coming from! Join us to get general tips on how to maintain your bicycle year round!

The Small Plaza Activation process is intended to remove barriers for small-scale (less than 100 people) neighborhood-based activities that build social and community connections in PBOT plazas.
