The East Portland Arterial Streets Strategy (EPASS) informs new designs for 11 large, busy streets - "arterials" - east of NE/SE 82nd Avenue, including safety enhancements and some changes to the number of vehicle lanes. Many of the recommended projects are in design or under construction.

SW Capitol Highway Rose Lane Project

Through the Rose Lane Project, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is helping improve bus speed and reliability on SW Capitol Highway from SW Barbur Boulevard to SW Bertha Court. This project benefits the bus riders who ride TriMet lines 39, 44, 45, 54, 55, 56, 61, and 64.
