Construction updates
Overview: April 27 – May 8
In the next two weeks, contractors with PBOT will have several active work zones along NE/SE 82nd Avenue. One lane in each direction on 82nd Avenue will remain open during construction. People traveling on NE/SE 82nd Avenue can expect delays, especially during the morning and evening commutes. Please travel safely around work zones and pay attention to all flaggers, detour signs, and traffic control devices.
Details and traffic impacts:
- NE Fremont to Tillamook – Activating new signals at NE Fremont will require the existing signals to be shut down and intersection traffic to be flagged intermittently. After signal activation, corner concrete will be restored, requiring lane closures.
- SE Tibbetts to Brooklyn – Activating the new signal will require lane closures and the intersection to be flagged intermittently.
- SE Lafayette– Activating the new signal will require lane closures and turn restrictions intermittently.
- SE Liebe – Sidewalk and driveway construction will require a lane closure on 82nd Avenue and a side street closure of SE Liebe Street.
- SE Raymond Court to Insley– Sidewalk and underground utility work will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
- SE Insley to Foster– Sidewalk and corner ramp work will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
- SE Ramona – Grinding, paving, and median island demolition will require lane closures on SE 82nd Avenue and side street closures of SE Ramona Street east and west of 82nd Avenue.
- SE Tolman – Grinding, paving, and median island demolition will require lane closures on SE 82nd Avenue and side street closures of SE Tolman Street east and west of 82nd Avenue.
In addition to the above, contractors will complete punch list items throughout the work zone. Remaining punch list items will require intermittent lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
