Construction updates

Overview: March 16 – 27

In the next two weeks, contractors with PBOT will have several active work zones along NE/SE 82nd Avenue. One lane in each direction on 82nd Avenue will remain open during construction. People traveling on NE/SE 82nd Avenue can expect delays, especially during the morning and evening commutes. Please travel safely around work zones and pay attention to all flaggers, detour signs, and traffic control devices.

Details and traffic impacts:

  • NE Fremont to Schuyler – Remaining punch list items will require intermittent lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
  • SE Harrison – Activating the new traffic signal will require lane closures.
  • SE Woodward – Signal equipment installation and traffic signal activation will require lane closures on 82nd and a single lane closure in the driveway access to Fubonn Shopping Center. No turn restrictions will be in place. Additional access to Fubonn Shopping Center is available via E 85th Avenue.
  • SE Tibbetts to Brooklyn – Signal installation will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
  • SE Brooklyn to Powell – Pavement restoration at SE Kelly will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue. Remaining punch list items will require intermittent lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
  • SE Raymond Street – Underground work will require SE Raymond Street west of 82nd Avenue to beclosed to vehicle traffic just west of 82nd Avenue. This road closure will be in effect Monday–Friday, 24 hours a day. Pedestrians and bicyclists will be able to cross 82nd Avenue at the existing crosswalk. Vehicles can use SE Mitchell Street as an alternate route.
  • SE Raymond Court to Insley– Underground utility work will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
  • SE Ramona – Signal equipment installation will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue. Paving will require side street closures of SE Ramona east and west of 82nd Avenue.
  • SE Tolman – Signal equipment installation will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue. Paving will require side street closures east and west of 82nd Avenue.
