Construction updates

Overview: February 16 - 27 In the next two weeks, contractors with PBOT will have several active work zones along NE/SE 82nd Avenue. One lane in each direction on 82nd Avenue will remain open during construction. People traveling on NE/SE 82nd Avenue can expect delays, especially during the morning and evening commutes. Please travel safely around work zones and pay attention to all flaggers, detour signs, and traffic control devices.

Details and traffic impacts:

  • NE Fremont – Signal energizing will require Fremont east and west of 82nd to be intermittently closed to thru vehicle traffic. TriMet buses will continue running on NE Fremont.
  • NE Siskiyou to Russell – Maintenance hole adjustments require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
  • NE Russell to Schuyler – Driveway and civil work require lane closures and turn restrictions on 82nd Avenue.
  • SE Tibbetts to Brooklyn – Utility relocations require lane closures and flagging on 82nd Avenue.
  • SE Lafayette – Trench resurfacing will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue, including a center turn lane closure. Vehicle traffic will not be able to make left turns at the 82nd and Lafayette intersection during this time.  Businesses remain open, and business access is available via SE Rhone.
  • SE Liebe – Utility relocations require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
  • SE Mitchell – Underground electrical work requires lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
  • SE Tolman – Signal and underground work will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue and side street closures of SE Tolman east and west of 82nd Avenue.
