Construction updates
Overview: November 10–21
In the next two weeks, contractors with PBOT will have several active work zones along NE/SE 82nd Avenue. One lane in each direction on 82nd Avenue will remain open during construction. People traveling on NE/SE 82nd Avenue can expect delays, especially during the morning and evening commutes. Please travel safely around work zones and pay attention to all flaggers, detour signs, and traffic control devices.
Details and traffic impacts:
- NE Fremont – Concrete repair will require lane closures.
- NE Siskiyou – Underground loop detection will require the signal to be shut down and intersection flagged. This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change.
- NE Siskiyou to Russell – Maintenance hole adjustments at various locations will require lane closures.
- NE Russell to Thompson – Median island construction continues, requiring lane closures and turn restrictions.
- NE Eugene – Underground work will require lane closures.
- NE Tillamook – Underground work will require a signal shut down and the intersection to be flagged on 11/10 and 11/11. In addition, NE Tillamook between 82nd and 83rd avenues will be closed to vehicle traffic and vehicles will be detoured.
- SE Washington – The new signal will be fully operational on 11/12, with lanes on SE Washington reopened to traffic, including the new "Bike/Bus Only" lane. Tree planting begins.
- SE Stark – Median island construction continues, requiring lane closures. Tree planting begins.
- SE Mill to Powell – Maintenance hole adjustments and center median island construction at various locations will require lane closures.
- SE 85th– Sidewalk work on 85th Avenue between Powell and Division will wrap up in the coming weeks. Tree planting begins.
- SE Tibbetts – Underground work will require lane closures.
- SE Franklin – Underground work and corner ramp construction will require daytime closures of SE Franklin east of 82nd Avenue. Temporary access will be provided via the parking lot just south of SE Franklin, between Best Value Inn and Tik Tok Restaurant.
- SE Mitchell to Insley – Underground work continues and will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
- SE Ramona – Civil and underground work will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
- SE Tolman – Demolition and underground work begins and will require lane closures on 82nd Avenue.
