Construction continues on 82nd Avenue Crossings

Work is underway to construct new pedestrian crossings on 82nd Avenue, at the intersections of 82nd Avenue at NE Beech, Klickitat, and Schuyler streets; and SE Clinton, Ash, and Schiller streets. In the coming weeks, contractors with PBOT are completing base repair and excavation for electrical conduit and signal foundations. Contractors are currently working at 82nd Avenue at the intersections of NE Klickitat, SE Schiller Street and SE Clinton Street.

Traffic impacts:

  • Temporary pedestrian walkways – physical barriers will be in place to direct pedestrians around the work zone during construction.
  • Temporary lane closures – one travel lane on 82nd Avenue will be closed near the work zones.
  • Road closures of side streets – SE Schiller and SE Clinton streets may be closed to residential vehicles for up to two weeks while concrete cures and pavement is restored.
