Construction continues on 82nd Avenue Crossings
Temporary pedestrian walkways with white and orange fencing guide pedestrians around the work zone at SE 82nd Avenue and Schiller Street.
Initial work is underway to construct six new pedestrian crossings on 82nd Avenue. Last week, contractors with PBOT began constructing inlets and ADA corner ramps. This work is focused at SE 82nd Avenue at the intersections of SE Schiller Street and at SE Clinton Street and will continue this week.
Traffic impacts:
- Temporary pedestrian walkways – physical barriers will be in place to direct pedestrians around the work zone during construction.
- Temporary lane closures – one travel lane on 82nd Avenue will be closed near the work zones.
- Road closures of side streets – SE Schiller and SE Clinton streets may be closed to residential vehicles for up to two weeks while concrete cures and pavement is restored.
