Critical Fixes: Near-term safety and maintenance improvements

You're Invited! Share feedback about the Major Maintenance Project at an upcoming event

In January of this year, we released updated design concept for the Major Maintenance Project. As part of this project, PBOT will make urgent safety and maintenance improvements to 2.5 miles of NE 82nd Avenue from Fremont Street to Schuyler Street and SE 82nd Avenue from Mill Street to Foster Road. This project is in the design phase and will be in construction from summer 2024 through 2026.

An up-close look at underground construction of 82nd Avenue Crossings

Initial work is underway to construct six new pedestrian crossings on 82nd Avenue. Construction is taking place on NE 82nd at the intersections of Beech, Klickitat, and Schuyler streets; and on SE 82nd Avenue at the intersections of Ash, Clinton and Schiller streets. In the past few weeks, contractors with PBOT have installed storm pipes and tested sumps at these intersections. This work is essential to improve drainage along 82nd Avenue and side streets.
